Women's Track Runs At Boston University Valentine Invitational

Nicole Borowiec sets PC Record in 60-Meter Hurdles; four of the Friar women set personal records.
BOSTON, Mass.- The Providence College women's indoor track team competed in Boston, Mass. at the Boston University Valentine Invitational on Friday, Feb. 9. Nicole Borowiec set a school record in the 60-meter hurdles.
Nicole Borowiec (Denville, N.J.) placed third in the 60-meter hurdle finals with a personal and school record time of 8.73.
Tessa Hunt (Wellington, New Zealand) set a personal record of 2:48.49 in the 1,000 meters.
In the 400 meters, Jill Fenerty (Franklin, Mass.) and Elena Cabral (Somerset, Mass.) ran personal records of 56.52 and 59.44, respectively.
Jenna Jacobs (Jefferson, N.Y.) ran a 25.93 in the 200 meters. Maggie Kemper (Huntington, N.Y.) and Hawa Grear (Providence, R.I.) followed in 26.02 and 26.70, respectively.
In the 800 meters, Alex O'Neill (Ennis, Ireland) led the Friars with a 2:06.98 time. Following O'Neill was Maeve O'Neill (Cork, Ireland) in 2:07.13, Cara Laverty (Derry, Ireland) in 2:08.62, Kiera Hall (Christchurch, New Zealand) in 2:13.86, Halle Atkinson (Franklin, Mass.) in 2:14.26, Polly Bogdan (Rochester, N.Y.) in 2:15.85 and Lexi Brent (York, Maine) in 2:16.25.
Laura Mooney (Cappincur, Ireland) ran a 9:21.86 in the 3,000 meters. Lilly Tuck (Sunderland, Canada) finished in 9:30.89 and Niamh O'Mahony (Kerry, Ireland) ran a 9:56.09 in the event.
The Friar men will compete at the Boston University Valentine Invitational tomorrow, Feb. 10 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
