Abbey Finn Named To Top Drawer Soccer’s Team Of The Week

Abbey Finn has helped lead the Friars to five straight shut outs.
New York, N.Y. – Providence College women's soccer player, Abbey Finn was named to Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week. The Friars went 2-0-0 on the week, defeating Brown and Temple. Brown was receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches' national Poll at the time of the match.
Finn, helped lead the Friars defense to two shut-out victories last week. The Friars defense has not surrendered a goal to their opponents through the first five games. Finn was also named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll this past week.
The Friars are off to their best start in program history, having compiled a 5-0 record. Providence is currently ranked No. 22 in the nation in the most recent poll released by Top Drawer Soccer.
Providence will return to action on Thursday, Sept. 7 against Rutgers at 6:00 p.m. in Piscataway, N.J.
