QUEENS, N.Y. - The Providence College women's soccer team tied with the St. John's Red Storm (2-4-3, 0-1-1), 1-1, on Sept. 24 in BIG EAST action in Queens, N.Y. The Friars moved to a 3-2-2 overall record and a 0-0-1 mark in BIG EAST action.
Thaea Mouratidis (Toronto, Ont.) scored the Friars' lone goal.

Thaea Mouratidis (Toronto, Ont.) intercepted a pass and scored from well outside the box. Mouratidis beat the keeper in the top left corner of the net and gave the Friars a 1-0 lead.
• With seconds left in the first half (44:57) St. John's drew a hand ball in the box resulting in a penalty kick. Telma Steindorsdottier scored on the right side of the net and tied the game at 1-1.
