Providence College Women’s Soccer Concludes Season With 2-2 Draw At DePaul

Stephanie Schoeley scored two goals for the Friars.

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Providence College women's soccer team tied with the DePaul University Blue Demons (4-12-2, 1-7-2 BIG EAST), 2-2, on Nov. 1 in Chicago, Ill. The Friars finished the regular season with a 6-6-4 record and a 3-4-3 mark in BIG EAST play. Stephanie Schoeley (Thedford, Ont.) scored two goals for the Friars, marking the first multi-goal game of her career at Providence.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
• Early in the match (4:12), Isabella Kloock-Jensen was issued a red card, leaving the Friars a player down for the remaining 85:48 of the match.
• DePaul opened the scoring action in the 23rd minute (22:34). Danielle Fjeldsted found the back of the net to give the Blue Demons a 1-0 lead. Her goal was assisted by Sienna Gonzalez and Tessa Fagerson.
• Stephanie Schoeley (Thedford, Ont.) answered with the equalizing goal in the 59th minute of action (58:22). Schoeley took advantage of a broken play in the box and delivered a right-footed strike to the back of the net.
• DePaul regained the lead in the 72nd minute (71:15) when Gonzalez beat the keeper in the top left of the net. Her goal was assisted by Shyna da Silva.
• In the 79th minute (78:07), Schoeley tied the match with her second goal of the day. Emma Gregorski (South Glastonbury, Conn.) sent a ball in on a corner kick and Schoeley headed it over the keeper to score.  
• Schoeley recorded the first multi-goal game of her career as a Friar.
