PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's soccer team defeated the Marquette University Golden Eagles (6-6-4, 2-3-2 BIG EAST), 5-0, on Oct. 22 in Providence, R.I. The Friars improved to 5-6-3 overall and a 2-4-2 mark in BIG EAST play. The Friars scored a season-high five goals in the win, including four individual goal scorers. Freshman
Isabella Kloock-Jensen (Aabenraa, Denmark) scored two goals in the Friars' win.

• The Friars started the scoring action in the 13th minute of the match (12:00), when
Isabella Kloock-Jensen (Aabenraa, Denmark) scored off a poorly handled ball by the goalkeeper in front of the net.
• In the 17th minute (16:22),
Courtnee Pickles (Methuen, Mass.) found the back of the net and gave the Friars a 2-0 lead. Pickles' shot came from the right side of the box and beat the keeper on the far side. Her goal was assisted by
Thaea Mouratidis (Toronto, Ont.).

Amaya Coffie (Warwick, R.I.) added to the Friars' lead with a goal in the 25th minute of action.
Lily Gibbs (Dedham, Mass.) sent a cross into the box, and Coffie put a spin move on the defender to create space and score.
• The Friars controlled possession in the first half, outshooting Marquette by a margin of 8-2. Providence carried a 3-0 lead into the locker room.
• In the 69th minute (68:29), Kloock-Jensen netted her second goal of the match. Kloock-Jensen collected a rebound inside the box and beat the keeper in the middle of the net.

Alanna Coffie (Warwick, R.I.) added a fifth goal for the Friars in the 71st minute (70:51). Mouratidis sent a ball deep to
Colleen Casey (Franklin, Mass), who found Coffie with a cross. Coffie shot and scored, bar-down, off the crossbar.
• The Friars dominated both sides of the ball, outshooting Marquette 17-6.

Ellie Thallman (Northville, Mich.) recorded her fourth shut-out win of the season.
• Kloock-Jensen recorded a career high of two goals in the match.
• The Friars scored a season-high five goals. The last time Providence scored five goals in a match was in 2023 versus Temple (5-0).
