SCOUTING THE FRIARS… The Friars' enter the weekend with a 6-8 record. Providence went 0-2 last weekend against BIG EAST fues Seton Hall and St. John's. The Friars suffered a 3-0 loss to Seton Hall before falling to St. Johns in straight sets.
Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas) leads the Friars' offense with 152 kills, followed by
Macy Taylor (Rowlett, Texas), who has tallied 143 kills and added 96 digs.
Savannah Ivie (Frisco, Texas) ranks sixth in the BIG EAST in digs per set, averaging 3.94. She has tallied 209 digs through her first 14 matches as a Friar.
Kayla Grant (Rowlett, Texas) leads the BIG EAST with 45 blocks.
As a team, Providence ranks first in service aces per a set in the BIG EAST.
Sammie Ruggles (North Olmsted, Ohio) and
Jiji Lykins (Coral Springs, Florida) occupy the number one and four spot for most service aces. Ruggles has registered 27, while Lykins has tallied 23.
SCOUTING DEPAUL… The Blue Demons enter the weekend with an 8-5 record. Last week, they lost to Georgetown (3-0) and defeated Villanova (3-2).
Jill Pressly leads the BIG EAST in kills per a set averaging 4.25 on 187 kills.
Rachel Krasowski is second in the BIG EAST in digs per a set, averaging 4.84.
Katelynn Oxley has recorded 36 blocks for the Blue Demons.
SCOUTING MARQUETTE… The Golden Eagles enter the weekend with a 6-7 record. Last week, they they went 2-0 defeating Villanova and Georgetown in three sets. Marquette has faced seven ranked opponents in their first 13 games.
Aubrey Hamilton ranks fourth in the BIG EAST in kills per a set, averaging 3.65. She has recorded a total of 179 kills.
Sarah Kushner has recorded 155 digs for Marquette through its first 13 matches.
As a team Marquette has recorded 592 kills and 724 digs.
WHATS NEXT… The Friars are on the road next weekend against Georgetown and Villanova. They face the Hoyas Friday, September 6 at 3:00 p.m. and Villanova Saturday, October 7 at 4:00 p.m.
