Men’s Lacrosse Announces 2022 Schedule

The schedule is comprised of eight-regular season home games and six road games.
PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Providence College men's lacrosse team announced its 2022 schedule today (Jan 11).
The Friars will open the 2022 campaign with two scrimmages. Providence will host the UMass Minutemen on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 22. The team's second scrimmage will be versus the Hobart Statemen in Geneva, N.Y. on Saturday, Jan. 29.
Providence starts its nine game non-conference slate on the road against the Holy Cross Crusaders on Saturday, Feb. 5 before hosting Ocean State foe, Bryant University, in its home opener on Saturday, Feb. 12. The Friars will then travel to Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y. for a matchup against the Saints on Saturday, Feb. 19.
Providence will host four-straight home games against St. Joseph's (Feb. 26), Brown (Mar. 5), Sacred Heart (Mar. 8) and Vermont (Mar. 12) before traveling to Fairfield University (Mar. 19). The Friars return home for one game against Hofstra on Saturday, Mar. 26 to finish non-conference play.
The Friars kick off BIG EAST action against Marquette in Milwaukee, Wis. on Saturday, April 2 and return for a matchup against the Georgetown Hoyas at home on Saturday, April 9. Providence will head to Villanova (Apr. 16) before returning home for senior day on April 23 against Denver. The regular season schedule concludes on the road against St. John's (Apr. 30).
The BIG EAST Tournament will be held at Georgetown from May 5 to May 7.
