Allison Barber Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Providence College graduate student setter Allison Barber (Woodbury, Minn.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for volleyball, as announced by the league on Monday, Sept. 20. This is the second BIG EAST award for the senior this season, having previously been named to the Weekly Honor Roll Aug. 30.

Barber finished with 84 total assists across two matches this weekend, both resulting in victories for the Friars. After tallying 34 assists against St. Francis Brooklyn, the graduate student notched a triple-double with 11 kills, 50 assists and 17 digs in a win over Fordham. The 50 assists are tied for the third most in a match this season by a BIG EAST player. 

The Friars will begin their BIG EAST campaign on Friday, Sept. 24 as they travel to Xavier University at 6:00 p.m.
