Avery Snead Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Snead scored the game-winner for the women’s soccer team in the Friars’ BIG EAST opener against UConn.
New York, N.Y.- Providence College women's soccer player Avery Snead (Wrentham, Mass.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, March 8. The freshman scored the game-winning goal in the 2-1 victory over UConn on March 4. Snead scored on her only shot attempt of the game, and it marked her first career goal in a Friar uniform. She has started each of Providence's four games this season and has attempted a total of three shots. Each of Sneads' shot attempts have been on target.
Providence returns to action on Thursday, March 11 at 6:00 p.m. against Seton Hall in South Orange, N.J. The Friars currently hold a 3-1 overall record and a 1-1 mark in the BIG EAST Conference. Their only loss, thus far, came on March 7 against No. 21 Georgetown, 1-0.
