Two additional student-athletes have committed to play for Providence College.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- It was announced on Dec. 16 by Providence College women's volleyball Head Coach Margot Royer-Johnson that two additional student-athletes have committed to play for Providence College. Riley Ananias (North Tustin, Calif.) and Jillian (Jiji) Lykins (Virginia Beach, Va.) will join Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas) and Niah Tucker (Wylie, Texas) as members of the 2021 Friar Volleyball team.

Ananias is a 5'5" libero and defensive specialist from North Tustin, Calif. Ananias. Ananias played for Orange Lutheran High School as well as Momentous Volleyball Club. A versatile player, Ananias also played setter for her high school varsity team.

"Riley brings our team a consistent and fundamental pass and serve." Said Coach Royer-Johnson. "She has had great club training with Momentous and she will immediately impact our team ball control and serve receive skills. We can't wait to have her with the whole team this fall."

Lykins is a 5'8" outside hitter from Virginia Beach, Va. Lykins collected four varsity letters during her time at Princess Anne High School (2017-2021). She is also a member of the ECVC Volleyball club. Over the course of her career, she recorded 867 kills, 675 digs, with a .321 hitting percentage. Lykins was named to the Prep Volleyball VA High School Player of the Year Top 5, was the Tiger Paws 2019 invitational MVP and captained her high school team from 2018-2021. She was part of the Princess Anne High School team that won the 2018 State Championship.

"Jiji is a pure volleyball player." said Coach Royer-Johnson. "She is super athletic and has the drive of a champion. She is small by D1 hitter height norms but easily makes up for it with her vertical and speed. Her defense is relentless and we are excited to have her spark on our court this fall."
