Jenae Alderson Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Alderson ranks first in the BIG EAST in hitting percentage (.443).

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Jenae Alderson (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) of the Providence College volleyball team was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday, September 10. This is the first BIG EAST award for the senior.
 
Alderson had a hitting percentage over .500 in three out of the four matches the Friars played this week. In the win over Merrimack, Alderson posted 12 kills on 15 total attacks and a hitting percentage of .733. In the 2019 Morehead State Eagle Challenge, Alderson had seven kills on 12 total attacks and a .500 hitting percentage in the win over Presbyterian. In the final game of the week against Morehead State, Alderson had nine kills on 13 total attacks and a .692 hitting percentage. Alderson currently ranks first in the BIG EAST in hitting percentage (.443).
 
The Friars play an Ocean State battle tonight (9/10) against Bryant University at 7 p.m. in Smithfield, R.I.
