Women’s Soccer Announces 2019 Promotional Schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's soccer program will host 10 teams at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium this upcoming season, with each game involving a giveaway or promotional event. The matches include free parking and admission for fans, along with the ability to meet and greet with the team during post game.
THURSDAY, AUG. 22 | UCONN | POSTER NIGHT
The Friars welcome the community to the season opener against the Connecticut Huskies, where the first 100 fans will receive a schedule poster for the 2019 season. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
SUNDAY, AUG. 25 | UMASS | HIGH SCHOOL NIGHT
Providence invites all local high schools to Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium against the UMass Minutewomen.
THURSDAY, AUG. 29 | HARTFORD | MINI-BALL TOSS
Fans are invited to join us as we host Hartford in a rematch of last season's 2-0 win on the road in West Hartford, Conn. Players will toss out custom mini soccer balls to the fans.
THURSDAY, SEPT. 5 | UMASS LOWELL | T-SHIRT TOSS
Fans will enjoy a T-Shirt Toss prior to kick off against UMass Lowell.
SUNDAY, SEPT. 22 | NORTHEASTERN | SCARF GIVEAWAY
The first 50 students will enjoy a Providence Friars checkered scarf as part of attending the team's final non-conference matchup.
SUNDAY, SEPT. 28 | ST. JOHN'S | JERSEY NIGHT | ALUMNI DAY
The Providence Friars encourage local teams to wear their team jersey's while in attendance for the Friars' BIG EAST opener. The program will also welcome back all alumni as we recognize 35 years of Providence women's soccer. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
SUNDAY, OCT. 6 | GEORGETOWN | PINK OUT
Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness as the Friars host the defending BIG EAST Champions, Georgetown. Providence defeated No. 15 Georgetown in the team's last matchup on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium in 2017, 1-0.
THURSDAY, OCT. 10 | DE PAUL | MOTHER DAUGHTER GAME
Mothers are encouraged to attend the game against the Blue Demons with their daughters for a night together at Anderson Stadium. A photo stand will be set up on the concourse to capture the night. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
THURSDAY, OCT. 24 | BUTLER | RI FOOD BANK
Providence will team up with the RI Food Bank to help accomplish its mission "to improve the quality of life for all Rhode Islanders by advancing solutions to the problem of hunger." Fans can donate at https://goto.rifoodbank.org/Make-Your-Gift or engage in the food drive at the game. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.

Prior to kickoff, Providence will honor its four graduating seniors and one graduate student in the team's senior day ceremony. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
