MILWAUKEE, Wis.-Â The Providence College volleyball team fell to No. 10 Marquette in straight sets, 25-14, 25-20, 25-18. The Friars fall to 5-13 overall (0-5 in the BIG EAST) and the Golden Eagles improves to 15-2 (5-0 in the BIG EAST).

FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â Marquette led throughout the set and claimed the set, 25-14.

Jennifer Leitman (Irvine, Calif.) paced the Friars with four kills on eight total attacks to go with four digs.
Â
Brielle Mullally (Garden Grove, Calif.) led the Friars with seven assists.
Â
SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â After a back and forth beginning of the set, the score was tied at 10. Marquette would go on a 5-0 run to create separation in the set (15-10). The Golden Eagles would maintain the lead throughout the remainder of the set and win, 25-20.

Addison Root (Wichita, Kan.) recorded a set-high five kills on 12 total attacks.

Allison Barber (Woodbury, Minn.) tallied six assists.
Â
Jenae Alderson (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) had a team-high six digs.

THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â Marquette jumped out to a 7-2 run to begin the set and would hold the lead throughout the set. The Golden Eagles went on to win the set, 25-18.

Leitman registered a team-high four kills on 15 total attacks.

Barber led the Friars with six assists.

Root and Barber recorded six assists, respectively.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:

Leitman led the Friars with 11 kills on 32 total attacks to go with 9 digs.

Barber recorded her 14th double-double of the year with a team-high 17 assists and 10 digs. Barber is now 22 assists away from moving up to sixth all-time in Friar volleyball history in assists.

Root registered a team-high 11 digs. Alderson was the third Friar with double-digit digs (10).

Mullally tallied 15 assists.

As a team, the Friars tallied 33 kills on 109 total attacks, 52 digs, 33 assists and seven total team blocks.Â

WHAT'S NEXT:Â The Friars travel to Chicago, Ill. to take on the DePaul Blue Demons on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Providence defeated DePaul in both meetings last season.
