Volleyball’s Allison Impellizeri Named To All-BIG EAST Second-Team

Impellizeri earns All-BIG EAST Second-Team honors.

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The BIG EAST announced its annual regular season awards on Wednesday, Nov. 21. Providence College volleyball senior Allison Impellizeri (Seaford, N.Y.) was named to the All-BIG EAST Second- Team for her efforts this season. Impellizeri has had a major impact on the Friars in her final season with the team. Impellizeri has led the team in kills (326) and total blocks (86). 
 
In the BIG EAST, the senior middle blocker ranks fifth in hitting percentage (.341 pct.), eighth in kills (326), 12th in total blocks (86) and eighth in points (389.5).
 
Impellizeri was essential to the success of the Friars' this season. She led the team in kills in 12 matches and set a new career high twice this season. A defensive threat as well, Impellizeri has tallied .82 blocks per set.
