PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's lacrosse team will travel to Smithfield, R.I. to face intra-state rival Bryant University on Tuesday, March 24. The game will be played at the Bryant Turf Complex and opening face-off is set for 7:00 p.m.

SCOUTING PROVIDENCE: The Friars enter Tuesday's game against Bryant with a 4-3 overall record. Providence recently fell to Hofstra, 15-4, on March 14. The loss snapped a two-game win streak for the Friars, who had previously beaten Sacred Heart (11-8) and UMass Lowell (11-6).
Will Mazzone (Stony Brook, N.Y.) leads the Friars' offense with 19 points on 11 goals and eight assists. Buck McClure (Dallas, Texas) ranks second on the team with 16 points on nine goals and seven assists, while Greg FitzMaurice (Huntington, N.Y.) checks in with 12 points on 11 goals and one assist. Two of McClure's nine tallies have come during man-up situations, which leads the team.
Cole McCormack (Rye, N.Y.) has taken the majority of face-offs for the Friars and owns a 0.506 winning percentage (38-75). McCormack ranks second on the team in ground balls, with 19. Jimmy Cunningham (Syracuse, N.Y.) leads the Friars in the ground-ball game with 28 pick-ups.
Peter Badgley (Summit, N.J.) has played 390 minutes in goals for Providence and currently holds a 10.31 goals against average and a 0.606 save percentage. He has faced a total of 267 shots, has recorded 103 saves and allowed 67 goals. Badgley has been the goalkeeper of record in each of the Friars' seven games (4-3).
Last season, the Friars fell to Bryant, 7-6, in Providence, R.I. The Bulldogs were ranked 12th in the nation at the time of the game. The last time the Friars defeated Bryant dates back to March 26, 2013. On that day, Providence earned a 10-9 victory in Smithfield.
SCOUTING BRYANT: The Bryant University men's lacrosse team enters Tuesday's game with a 1-6 overall record and are currently in the midst of a four-game winless streak. Two of Bryant's losses during the stretch came at the hands of nationally-ranked opponents, including No. 7 Yale (16-9) and No. 2 North Carolina (10-9). Most recently, the Bulldogs fell to Hobart, 7-6, on March 21.
Sophomore Tucker James leads the offense with 18 points on 12 goals and 6 assists. Shane Morrell is second among his teammates in scoring with 17 points on 12 goals and five assists. Cam Ziegler (11 points), Collins Gantz (10 points) and Tom Kennedy (10 points) have each cracked double digits in the scoring column.
Kevin Massa has handled the face-off duties this season. He has won 89-of-148 face-offs for a 0.601 winning percentage. Massa also leads the team with 56 ground balls. Connor Dent is second on the team in ground balls with 23.
Gunnar Waldt has played 409 minutes in goal for Bryant this season and owns a 0.500 save percentage and a 9.84 goals against average. He has allowed 67 goals and has recorded 67 saves in seven games.
WHAT'S NEXT: Providence returns to action on Saturday, March 28 against BIG EAST foe St. John's. The game will be played in Queens, N.Y. and is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. St. John's currently owns a 2-7 overall record.
