Men's Lacrosse To Travel To Duke

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's lacrosse team is set to play Duke for the fourth game of the 2015 season at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1 in Durham, N.C.

The Friars enter Sunday's game with a 2-1 record after three games within seven days. On Wednesday, Feb. 25 the Friars defeated Boston University, 7-4, at the Ray Treacy Track and Field Complex. Freshman Nick Preston (Victoria, British Columbia) had a game-high three goals. In the first half the Friars were held to one goal, and trailed the Terriers, 3-1, at halftime. However, Providence dominated the second-half offense and outscored Boston 6-1 to win the game, 7-4. Senior goalie Peter Badgley(Summit, N.J.) was in net for all 60 minutes of the game and recorded a career-high 18 saves.



The Friars are currently led by senior Buck McClure (Dallas, Texas) with eight points off of four goals and four assists. Badgley has been in net all three games for the Friars and has registered 50 saves and has a .657 save percentage and a 7.67 goals-against average.

Scouting The Blue Devils



Duke currently holds a 3-1 record and faces Harvard prior to Sunday's game versus Providence. Last week, Duke lost to Denver, 17-13, on Feb. 14 and had a successful road win at Mercer, 16-6, on Feb. 15. Duke is led by Myles Jones with 24 points off of 12 goals and 12 assists. In net for the Blue Devils is Luke Aaron who has spent 211:10 minutes in goal with 48 saves and has a .565 save percentage.
