Catherine Zimmerman Named To BIG EAST Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll

Sept. 29, 2014 PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Junior Catherine Zimmerman (Madison, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced by the conference on Monday afternoon (Sept. 29).
The Friars opened up their BIG EAST Conference play with a win against Seton Hall (2-0) on Thursday (Sept. 25). Zimmerman scored in the second minute of play with an assist from Lauren Elia (Eerie, Pa.) to take the lead, 1-0.
In the fourth minute of play, Zimmerman registered an assist off a goal by junior Courtney Maguire (Smithfield, R.I.) to keep the lead at 2-0.
Zimmerman leads the Friars in goals (5), assists (4) and points (14).
Providence will continue their BIG EAST lineup at Creighton at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2 in Omaha, Neb.
