Junior Laura Nagel Wins 5000m With A Personal Best, Ranking Her Sixth In The Country

Williamsburg, Va. - Among the 12 athletes to compete with the Providence College men's and women's outdoor track and field team, junior Laura Nagel (Napier, New Zealand) was victorious in her race. She ran a personal best time of 15:50.36 in the 5000m run, breaking the meet and stadium record for the event. Her time ranks her 6th in the country thus far. Sophomore Shane Quinn (Waterford, Ireland) won in the 10,000m run on the men's side in a time of 29:30.59. His time gave him a NCAA East Regional ranking of 13th.

The Friars compete next at the Brown Invitational on Saturday, April 13 in Providence, RI.
