PROVIDENCE, R.I. --The Providence College volleyball team (0-4) will play St. Peter's in a mid-week match on Wednesday, August 29, in Jersey City, N.J. The teams met last year in Philadelphia, Pa. as part of the La Salle Invitational, in which the Friars came away with a 3-1 victory.

Last week the Friars played in the Hofstra Tournament and sophomore Mackenzie Ziegler (Portage, Wis.) was named an All-Tournament selection. Ziegler led the Friars with 41 kills on the weekend and was second on the team with 25 digs. Against Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, August 25, Ziegler set new career-highs in kills and digs with 15 and 14 respectively.

Providence will play its first match at home this season on Sunday, October 7 versus America East foe Stony Brook. This match will mark the first athletic event played in the renovated Mullaney Gymnasium in Alumni Hall.
