Christian Dzwilewski Named To BIG EAST Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Sophomore goaltender Christian Dzwilewski (Huntington, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday, April 5. It marks the first time a Providence player has been selected to the honor roll in this inaugural BIG EAST season. For Dzwilewski, the award is the first honor roll recognition of his career.
Dzwilewski earns the accolade after a superb performance against Bryant on April 3. Against the Bulldogs, he posted a career-best 11 saves while allowing nine goals in 60:00 minutes of action. The Huntington, N.Y. native made a number of key stops in the game, allowing the Friars to overcome one or two goal deficits five times to tie the score with the Bulldogs.
On the season, Dzwilewski has appeared in 108:19 minutes of action over four games, making 17 saves and posting a 11.63 goals against average.
The Friars return to action on Saturday, April 10 with a 1:00 p.m. BIG EAST contest against St. John's in Queens, N.Y.
