PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Providence College women's soccer team celebrated their Senior Night with a 3-0 win against the Rhode Island Rams (1-1-0) on Aug. 15 in Providence, R.I. The Friars notch their first win of the season, improving their record to 1-0-1 overall.

·Providence got out to an early lead with Koffi scoring the Friars first goal in the tenth minute (9:44). It was Koffi's second goal in as many games to begin her collegiate career.
·
Maria Ravotti (Bradfordwoods, Pa.) made a diving save in air during the 26th minute to keep the Rams scoreless.
 ·The Friars led the Rams 1-0 after the first half.
 ·Providence doubled its lead with Pickles extending the lead to 2-0 in the 65th minute (64:35). The goal was Pickles' first of the season and fourth of her career.

·In the 72nd minute (71:45), Kloock-Jensen scored off an assist from
Carolyn Hinkle (Millersville, Pa.) to put the Friars up 3-0. Hinkle dribbled to the right post and hit a small cross for Kloock-Jensen to tap it into goal. The goal marked Kloock-Jensen's fourth career goal and first of the season.

·The Friars outshot the Rams 23-17 overall on the night.

·The teams combined for five cards in the second half, with Rhode Island being issued a red card and playing down a player for the final 33 minutes.

· Pickles led the way for the Friars with six shots, with three being on target. Koffi finished the night with five shots and has 17 shots total over the first two games.
