PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman goaltender
Jack Parsons (Cortland, N.Y.) was named Pro Ambitions Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Monday (Jan. 12). It marked the first Rookie of the Week honors for the Friars this season.
Parsons finished the weekend sweep over then No. 12/14 Maine stopping 46-of-47 shots for a .979 save percentage, including his first NCAA shutout in a 3-0 win on Saturday night. In five appearances this season, Parsons has posted a 3-1-0 record with a 1.99 GAA and .917 save percentage.
The No. 14 Friars will battle No. 12 Boston College in a home-and-home series beginning Friday night (Jan. 16) in Chestnut Hill followed by a rematch on Saturday (Jan. 17) at Schneider Arena.
