Cincinnati, Ohio - The Providence College men's soccer team (2-5-1, 0-1-0 BIG EAST) are set to travel to Cincinnati to take on the Xavier University Musketeers (3-2-2, 0-0-1 BIG EAST) on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be streamed ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS
The Friars enter Saturday's match after a last second tie with Brown on Tuesday, Sept. 23. The Friars scored in the 90
th minute to secure the draw and they will look to carry that momentum into Saturday's meeting with the Musketeers.

Two returners earned All-BIG EAST honors last season for the Friars. Rosa earned All-BIG EAST Second Team. Senior midfielder
Diego Batista (Barcelos, Portugal) was named to the All-BIG EAST Third Team. Both Rosa and Batista were named to the 2025 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team on Aug. 19.

Pearse O'Brien (West Hartford, Conn.) enters his third season with the Friars. Throughout his career in Providence, he has solidified himself as a strong offensive threat, recording four goals and 11 assists. He was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team in 2024. He has recorded one assist so far this season.
SCOUTING THE Musketeers
Xavier comes into Saturday's game sitting at 3-2-2 (0-0-1 BIG EAST) and are coming off a 2-1 win at Northern Kentucky on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Senior Cooper Forcellini has led the Musketeer attack so far this season, tallying seven goals through seven games putting him at second in the BIG EAST in total goals and first in goals per game. Senior goalkeepers Gabriel Kuffel and Johnny Mennell have both received BIG EAST Weekly Honors this year, both being name Goalkeeper of the Week. Xavier has played one BIG EAST game so far this season, tying St. John's 1-1. In the BIG EAST Coach's Poll Xavier was picked to finish third in the West Division.
UPNEXT… The Friars stay return home on Friday, Oct. 3 to take on Villanova on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium. The game is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and will be streamed on Friars Live.
