PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's golf team returns to action on Monday, Oct. 13 through Tuesday Oct. 14, at the Bash in the Boro at Georgia Southern University Golf Course in Statesboro, Ga.

The three round stroke play tournament will play out over Monday and Tuesday. Monday will consist of the first two rounds and Tuesday will be the third and final round. The field includes 13 other schools: University of Richmond, George Washington University, Marshall University, Catawba College, Appalachian State University, Georgia Southern University, University of South Carolina Beaufort, Augusta University, Florida A&M University, Winthrop University, Middle Tennessee State University, Jacksonville State University and Campbell University.
The Georgia Southern Golf Course is a public 18-hole championship course on Georgia Southern University's Statesboro campus. The course ranges 6,850 yards and is a par 72.
In the Friars most recent tournament, Providence finished 10th in the UConn Invitational. Freshman
Callan Fahey (Wheaton, Ill.) led the Friars, posting a 221 (+5) to tie for 23rd. Fahey opened the tournament with a one-under 71, going bogey-free on the back nine with three birdies to card a 33. The freshman recorded eight birdies across 54 holes.
On Sept. 23, Providence completed the two-day Ryan T. Lee Memorial at Wethersfield Country Club. The Friars tied for sixth in the 15-team field with a score of 582 (+14). Junior
Campbell Skelly (Charleston, S.C.) led the way, finishing tied for fifth overall at 141 (-1). Juniors
Evan Buddenhagen (Gloucester, Mass.) and
Joe Halferty (Blue Bell, Pa.) along with Fahey all tied for 21st.
The Friars opened the season at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic on Sept. 8-9, placing eighth in the 13-team field with a score of 918 (+54). Fahey led Providence with a 10th-place finish at 221 (+5) in the 80-player field.
