Kimberley May Finishes Second and Shannon Flockhart Places Sixth In The 1,500 Meters Finals At The NCAA Championship

EUGENE, Ore. – The Providence Friars competed at the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field Championship on Saturday, June 8 at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore.
The Providence women's track team had an impressive afternoon as junior Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand) and senior Shannon Flockhart (Longstanton, England) each ran the 1,500 meters finals. May finished second overall in a time of 4:08.07. Flockhart also had a strong race, taking sixth place in a time of 4:09.53.
Both runners earned First Team All-America honors. It marked the third All-America honor for each runner this year as they both captured two All-America accolades in indoor track.
