Laura Mooney Crowned 5k Champion At IC4A/ECAC Championship

BOSTON, Mass. – The Providence College men's and women's track teams competed at IC4A/ECAC championships on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3 at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center in Boston, Mass.
 
Laura Mooney (Cappincur, Ireland) won the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:15.15.
 
Tessa Hunt (Wellington, New Zealand) ran a 2:50.04 to finish third in the 1,000 meters.
 
In the 60-meter hurdle finals, Nicole Borowiec (Denville, N.J.) ran an 8.69 for a fifth-place finish.
 
Lexi Brent (York, Maine) finished the 500-meter finals in a time of 1:16.62 to place eighth.
  
On the men's side, Luke Coffin (Annapolis, Md.) ran a personal best time of 14:07.03 to finish fourth in the 5,000 meters.
 
Jon Mignacca (Seekonk, Mass.) cleared 1.95 meters to place fifth in the high jump.
 
Tyler Bartlett (Fairfield, Conn.) finished eighth in the 1,000-meter finals with a time of 2:32.26.

In the 400-meter finals, Kyle Bloomer (Darien, Conn.) placed sixth in a time of 48.75. Brett Lehman (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.) followed in ninth with a time of 49.98.
