SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Providence College volleyball was defeated by Seton Hall in three sets on Friday, September 22 against Seton Hall in South Orange, N.J.

FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS: Seton Hall won set one, 25-12.
- Seton Hall got off to an 8-4 lead to start the first set causing Providence to call a timeout.
- The Pirates went on another 4-1 run to extend the lead to 12-5.
- Seton Hall controlled the lead for the rest of the set winning 25-12.

Macy Taylor (Rowlett, Texas) recorded three kills in the first set.Â

SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS: The Pirates took set two, 27-25, to take the 2-0 edge in the match.
- The two teams went back-and-forth to start the set making it 5-5.
- Seton Hall went on a 7-1 run to make it 12-6.Â
- The Friars went on a 10-4 run to cut the score to 17-16 before the Friars took the 24-23 lead.Â
- Seton Hall went on 4-1 run to close and win the set.

Lyric Berry (Wylie, Texas) tallied five kills in the second set.Â

THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â Seton Hall won set three for the match.
- The Friars got off to a 4-2 lead to start the third set.Â
- The Pirates went on an 8-3 run to take the 10-7 lead forcing Providence to call a timeout.Â
- Seton Hall extended their lead to 13-9 in the middle of the set.
- The Pirates controlled the lead winning, 25-17.

Jiji Lykins (Coral Springs, Fla.) recorded three kills in the third set.
