- Providence extended their lead to 15-5 through the middle of the set.Â
- The Friars controlled their lead through the remainder of the set, winning 25-15.

THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â The Friars took the third set, 25-19, to win the match.
- The Warriors got off to a 5-3 lead to start the third set.
- Providence went on an 8-2 run to take the 11-7 lead causing a Merrimack timeout.Â
- The Friars extended the lead to 16-10 in the middle of the set.
- Providence won the set, 25-19, to win the match 3-0.
