Flockhart Earns First Team All-America In 1,500 Meters At NCAA Track Championship

Flockhart placed sixth in the 1,500 meters and Buckley placed 13th in the 5,000 meters.

AUSTIN, Texas – Providence College junior Shannon Flockhart (Longstanton, England) ran the 1,500-meter finals and freshman Jane Buckley (Cork, Ireland) competed in the 5,000 meters finals tonight, June 10 at the NCAA Outdoor Track Championship at Mike A. Myers stadium in Austin, Texas.
 
Flockhart finished sixth in the 1,500-meter finals with a personal and school record time of 4:10.78. Flockhart's performance earns her First Team All-America Honors for the second time in her collegiate career, the first at the 2022 NCAA Championship.
 
Buckley finished a breakout season with a 16:06.76 in the 5,000-meter finals for 13th place to earn Second Team All-American for the first time. Buckley is the first Friar to earn the honors in the 5,000 meters since 2019.
