Shannon Flockhart (Longstanton, England) and sophomore
Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand) ran the 1,500 meters quarterfinals and freshman
Jane Buckley (Cork, Ireland) competed in the 5,000 meters on Saturday, May 27 during the final day of the NCAA Track First Round hosted by the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.
Flockhart and May both ran strong races in the 1,500 meters. Flockhart won her heat with a time of 4:11.51, while May ran a 4:14.83 to place fifth in her heat. Flockhart and May's performances qualified them for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
In the 5,000 meters, Buckley placed seventh in her heat with a personal record of 15:41.68. Buckley's time qualified her for the NCAA finals.

Flockhart and May will compete in the 1,500 meters, Buckley will run the 5,000 meters and Marcelo Rocha (Peabody, Mass.) will compete in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track Championships held June 7-10 at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.
