Volleyball Defeated By Seton Hall In Four Sets

Providence, R.I. - Providence College volleyball was defeated by Seton Hall, 3-1, on Saturday, November 4 in Providence, R.I.
Miller McDonald (Dallas, Texas) recorded her fourth double-double of the season.
FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS: Seton Hall took the first set, 25-23.
- The two teams went back-and-forth to start the set making it 7-7.
- The Pirates went on a 5-1 run to take a 14-12 lead, forcing a Friars timeout.
- Providence tied the set making it 15-15.
- The Pirates regained a 21-18 lead forcing Providence's second timeout of the set.
- Seton Hall closed out the set for a 25-23 win.
- The score was tied 14 times in the first set.
- McDonald recorded 13 digs in the first set.
SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS: The Pirates won the second set, 25-23, for the 2-0 edge in the match.
- Seton Hall took a 4-1 lead to start the second set before the Friars went on a 4-1 run to tie the score at 5-5.
- Providence took a 12-10 lead in the middle of the set causing the Pirates to call a timeout.
- The two teams continued to go back-and-forth through the middle of the set making it 19-19.
- The Pirates went on a 6-4 run to win the set, 25-23.
- The score was tied 12 separate times in the second set.
- McDonald had 11 assists in the second set to give her a double-double through two sets.
THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS: The Friars won the third set, 25-16, to force a fourth set.
- The Friars started the third set with an 8-3 lead forcing a Seton Hall timeout.
- Providence extended its lead to 13-6.
- The Friars controlled the remainder of the set and went on to win 25-16.

FOURTH SET HIGHLIGHTS: Seton Hall won the fourth set, 25-12, to claim the match.

- The Pirates held onto their lead the rest of the set, winning 25-12.
