The Friars start the weekend hosting Villanova on Friday, November 17 at 6:00 p.m.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's volleyball team is set to host Villanova and Georgetown to conclude the 2023 season. The Friars will host Villanova on Friday, November 17 at 6:00 p.m. and Georgetown on Saturday, November 18 at 4:00 p.m.

SCOUTING PROVIDENCE (8-20, 2-14 BIG EAST)
- The Friars enter the weekend with an 8-20 overall record, including a 2-14 mark in the BIG EAST Conference.
- The Friars are coming off back-to-back losses against Xavier (3-0) on November 11 in Cincinnati, Ohio and Butler (3-1) on November, 12 in Indianapolis, Ind.
- Providence's victories in conference play this season included a weekend sweep of Georgetown (3-2) and Villanova (3-2) on Oct. 6-7.
- Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas) leads the Friars in kills (311) and kills per set (3.02). Rhoden also has added 94 digs and 26 blocks.
- Kayla Grant (Rowlett, Texas) has a team-high 100 blocks.
- Sammie Ruggles (North Olmsted, Ohio) ranks second in the BIG EAST in service aces per set, averaging (.40).
- Miller McDonald (Dallas, Texas) leads the team in assists (564) and double-doubles (4).
- Lyric Berry (Wylie, Texas) has been another formidable defensive presence at the net and leads the team in solo blocks (26), to go along with 61 block assists.
- Savannah Ivie (Frisco, Texas) leads the Friars in digs (261), averaging 2.93 per set.
- The Friars' roster features seven freshmen.
- Nine of the 14 players on the roster are from the state of Texas.

- The Wildcats enter the weekend with a 16-12 overall record, including a 9-6 mark in the BIG EAST Conference.
- Villanova is coming off back-to-back losses against DePaul (3-1) in Villanova, Pa. and Marquette (3-1) in Villanova, Pa.
- Abby Harrell ranks seventh in the BIG EAST in kills per set (3.11) and points per set (3.84). She also ranks eight in the BIG EAST in service aces per set, averaging .35.
- Taryn Whittingham ranks ninth in the BIG EAST in digs per set, averaging 3.49.
- Andrea Campos has recorded the second most assists in the BIG EAST, recording 1,045 so far this year.
- As a team, Villanova ranks third in hitting percentage in the BIG EAST, hitting .223 on the year.
