PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College volleyball team is set to play Georgetown and Villanova this weekend. The Friars will face Georgetown on Friday, October 6 in Washington, D.C. at 3:00 p.m. and play Villanova on Saturday, October 7 in Villanova, Pa. at 3:00 p.m.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS… The Friars enter the weekend with a 6-10 record and a 0-4 record in the BIG EAST. Providence went 0-2 last weekend against BIG EAST foes DePaul and Marquette. The Friars suffered a 3-0 loss in both matches.
Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas) leads the Friars' offense with 172 kills, followed by
Macy Taylor (Rowlett, Texas), who has 144 kills and 101 digs.
Savannah Ivie (Frisco, Texas) ranks seventh in the BIG EAST in digs per set, averaging 3.64. She has tallied 215 through her first 16 matches as a Friar.
Kayla Grant (Rowlett, Texas) leads the BIG EAST with 59 blocks.
As a team, Providence ranks first in service aces per set in the BIG EAST, averaging 1.76.
Sammie Ruggles (North Olmsted, Ohio) and
Jiji Lykins (Coral Springs, Florida) occupy the number one and two spot for most service aces. Ruggles has registered 27, while Lykins has tallied 23.
SCOUTING GEORGETOWN… The Hoyas enter Friday with an 11-5 overall record and a 2-2 record in the BIG EAST. Last week, they defeated Butler (3-1) and lost to Xavier (3-2).
Peyton Wilhite ranks ninth in the BIG EAST in kills per set, averaging 3.2.
Emily Wen has recorded 575 assists, which is good for fourth in the BIG EAST.
Karis Park leads the Hoyas' defense with 241 digs. She ranks fifth in the BIG EAST in digs per set, averaging 4.02.
SCOUTING VILLANOVA… The Wildcats enter the weekend with a 10-6 overall record and a 1-3 record in the BIG EAST. Last week they defeated Xavier (3-0) and lost to Butler (3-0).
Abby Harrell leads Villanova in kills, with 194. She ranks eighth in the BIG EAST in kills per set, averaging 3.29.
Andre Campos has recorded the second most assists in the BIG EAST, with 581.
As a team, the Wildcats rank second in hitting percentage in the BIG EAST, hitting .229.
