MILWAUKEE, WIS. - The Providence College team volleyball was defeated by Marquette, 3-0, on Friday, October 27 in Milwaukee, Wis.
Miller McDonald recorded 25 assists and nine digs for the Friars.
FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS: Marquette won the first set, 25-22.
- The Golden Eagles got off to a quick 8-3 lead to start the first set.
- Marquette extended it's lead to 18-9 forcing a Providence timeout.
- The Friars went on a 9-1 run to cut the deficit to 22-19.
- The Golden Eagles closed out the set winning, 25-22.

Jiji Lykins (Coral Springs, Fla.),
Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas) and
Macy Taylor (Rowlett, Texas) each recorded four digs in the first set.
SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS: The Golden Eagles took the second set, 25-21, to take the 2-0 edge in the set.
- The Friars got off to a 5-3 lead to start the set.
- The two teams continued to go back-and-forth through the middle of the set to make it 17-15 Providence.
- Marquette scored six of the next eight points to take a 21-19 lead.
- The Golden Eagles held onto the lead to win, 25-21.
- Rhoden put up five kills in the second set.
THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS: Marquette won the third set, 25-15, to win the match.
- The Golden Eagles went on a 5-0 run to start the third set.
- Marquette controlled it's lead through the middle of the set making it 15-10.
- The Golden Eagles closed out the set winning, 25-15.
- Lykins registered two service aces in the third set.
MATCH NOTES:
- Rhoden had a team-high 12 kills.
- Lykins led the Friars' defense with 15 digs.
