The Friars face Marquette on Friday, October 27 at 8:00 p.m. (ET) in Milwaukee, Wis.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's volleyball team is on the road for two BIG EAST matches this weekend. They play Marquette on Friday, October 27 at 8:00 p.m. (ET) in Milwaukee, Wis. Providence will face DePaul on Saturday, October 28 at 5:00 p.m. (ET) in Chicago, Ill.

SCOUTING PROVIDENCE (8-14, 2-8 BIG EAST):
- The Friars enter the weekend with an 8-14 overall record, including a 2-8 mark in the BIG EAST Conference.
- The Friars are coming off back-to-back losses against UConn (3-1) in Storrs, Conn. and No. 15 Creighton (3-0) at Alumni Hall.
- Providence's lone victories in conference play this season included a weekend sweep of Georgetown (3-2) and Villanova (3-2) on Oct. 6-7.
- Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas) leads the Friars in kills (240) and kills per set (2.93). Rhoden has also added 52 digs and 23 blocks.
- Kayla Grant (Rowlett, Texas) has a team-high 79 blocks.
- Sammie Ruggles (North Olmsted, Ohio) ranks second in the BIG EAST in service aces per set averaging (.43).
- Ruggles and Miller McDonald (Dallas, Teas) have each recorded 300 + assists on the season. McDonald leads the team with 401 assists followed by Ruggles who has 309.
- Lyric Berry (Wylie, Texas) has been another formidable defensive presence at the net and leads the team in solo blocks (19), to go along with 45 block assists.
- Savannah Ivie (Frisco, Texas) leads the Friars in digs (248), averaging 3.02 per set.
- The Friars' roster features seven freshman.
- Nine of the 14 players on the roster are from the state of Texas.
SCOUTING MARQUETTE (13-8, 9-1 BIG EAST):
- The Golden Eagles enter the week ranked first in the BIG EAST.
- Marquette defeated No. 15 Creighton in straight sets on Oct. 6.
- Marquette is currently receiving votes in the latest AVCA national poll.
- Carsen Murray ranks first in the BIG EAST in hitting percentage (.366).
- Aubrey Hamilton has a team-high 295 kills and ranks second in the BIG EAST in points per set, averaging 4.39.
- Yadhira Anchante ranks fourth in the BIG EAST in assists per set, averaging 9.54 assists per set.
SCOUTING DePAUL (11-10, 4-6 BIG EAST):
- The Blue Demons are currently in sixth place in the BIG EAST.
- As a team DePaul currently ranks first in the BIG EAST in blocks and second in the BIG EAST in assists and digs.
- Jill Pressly leads the BIG EAST in kills per set (4.49) and points per set (4.9).
- Audrey Klemp ranks ninth in the BIG EAST in kills per set, averaging 3.17.
- Maggie Jones and Ashley Cudiamat occupy the ninth and 10th spot in assists per set in the BIG EAST. Jones averages 6.64 per set and Cudiamat averages 6.55 per set.
- Katelynn Oxley ranks first in the BIG EAST in blocks per set, averaging 1.15 per set.
- Rachel Krasowski ranks first in the BIG EAST In digs per set, averaging 5.24.
