CHICAGO, ILL. – The Providence College volleyball team was defeated by DePaul, 3-1, on Saturday, October 28 in Chicago, Ill.
Miller McDonald recorded her third double-double of the year with 45 assists and 12 digs.
FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS: DePaul took the first set, 25-19.
- The Friars started the first set with a 7-4 lead before DePaul went on a 4-0 run to make it 8-7.
- The two teams went back-and-forth through the middle of the set making it 15-13 DePaul.
- The Blue Demons extended their lead to 21-16 forcing a Providence timeout.
- DePaul closed out the set winning, 25-19.

Miller McDonald (Dallas, Texas) recorded 10 assists in the first set.
SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS: The Blue Devils won the second set, 25-20, to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
- DePaul started the second set on an 8-3 run.
- The Blue Demons extended their lead to 14-7 in the middle of the set.
- The Friars went on a 5-0 run to cut the score to 14-12.
- DePaul controlled the lead the rest of the set winning, 25-20.

Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas),
Macy Taylor (Rowlett, Texas) and
Shea Dupuis (Richardson, Texas) each recorded three kills in the second set.
THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS: Providence won the third set, 25-16.
- The Friars got off to a quick 6-3 lead to start the third set forcing a Blue Devils timeout.
- Providence extended its lead to 13-6 in the middle of the set.
- The Friars went on a n 8-5 run to make the score 21-11.
- Providence went on to win the set, 25-16.
- McDonald registered 12 assists in the third set.
FOURTH SET HIGHLIGHTS: DePaul won the fourth set, 27-25, to win the match.
- The two teams went back-and-forth to start the fourth and were tied, 4-4.
- The Blue Demons went on an 11-6 run to take the 15-10 lead.
- Providence went on an 8-5 run to cut the score to 20-18, causing DePaul to call a timeout.
- DePaul closed out the set to win 27-25.

Kayla Grant (Rowlett, Texas) had five kills in the fourth set.
