Providence, R.I. - Providence College Volleyball was defeated by St. John's in straight sets on Friday, November 3 in Providence, R.I.
FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS: St. John's won the first set, 25-19.
- The Red Storm got off to a 6-2 lead to start the first set.
- The Friars went on a 7-3 run to cut the score to 10-9 forcing a St. John's timeout.
- The Red Storm extended their lead to 18-12 in the middle of the set.
- St. John's closed out the set, winning 25-19.

Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas) recorded four kills in the first set.
SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS: The Red Storm won the second set, 25-18, to take the 2-0 lead in the match.
- Providence got off to a quick 3-0 lead causing a St. John's timeout.
- The Red Storm went on a 5-0 run to take the 5-3 lead.
- St. John's extended its lead to 16-11 in the middle of the set.
- The Red storm closed out the set to win, 25-18, for the 2-0 edge in the in the match.
- Rhoden added another six kills in the second set.
THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS: St. John's took the third set, 28-26, to win the match.
- The Friars started the third set on a 4-1 run.
- The Red Storm tied the set at 8-8.
- The two teams went back-and-forth through the middle of the set to make it 14-14.
- Providence took the 19-18 lead causing St. John's to call a timeout.
- The Red Storm closed out the set, winning 28-26.
- Rhoden recorded nine kills in the third set.

- Rhoden led the Friars' offense in kills (19) and hitting percentage (.457)
