The Friars open the weekend against Butler on Friday, October 13 at 6:00 p.m.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College volleyball team will host Butler and Xavier this weekend. The Friars will face Butler on Friday, October 13 at 6:00 p.m. and Xavier Saturday, October 14 at 3:00 p.m.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS… The Friars enter the weekend with an 8-10 record and a 2-4 record in the BIG EAST. Providence went 2-0 last weekend with wins against Georgetown (3-2) on Oct. 6 and Villanova (3-2) on Oct. 7. Lyric Berry was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll last week as she recorded 12 blocks and 17 kills over the two games.
Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas) leads the Friars' offense with 199 kills, followed by Macy Taylor (Rowlett, Texas), who has 172 kills and 113 digs.
Savannah Ivie (Frisco, Texas) ranks 10th in the BIG EAST in digs per set, averaging 3.32. She has tallied 229 through her first 18 gams as a Friar.
Kayla Grant (Rowlett, Texas) leads Providence in blocks, with 64.
As a team, Providence ranks first in service aces per set in the BIG EAST, averaging 1.74. Sammie Ruggles (North Olmsted, Ohio) and Jiji Lykins (Coral Springs, Fla.) occupy the number one and four spot for most service aces per set. Ruggles averages .44 while Lykins averages .39.

Abby Maesch is fifth in the BIG EAST in kills per set, averaging 3.43. She is followed by teammate Mariah Grunze, who is sixth in the BIG EAST in kill per set, averaging 3.35.
Cora Taylor ranks first in the BIG EAST in assists per set, averaging 10.37.
Jaymeson Kinley is second in the BIG EAST in digs per set, averaging 5.08.

Delaney Hogan is second in the BIG EAST in hitting percentage, hitting .358. She has registered a team-high 155 kills.
Stevie Wolf is sixth in the BIG EAST in digs per set, averaging 3.83.
Hogan leads the Musketeers with 46 blocks.
WHATS NEXT… Next week the Friars travel to Storrs, Conn. on Wednesday, October 18 to face UCONN at 6 p.m. Later that week they host Creighton on Saturday, October 21 at 4:00 p.m.
