Providence College Men's Lacrosse Releases 2023 Schedule

First-year Head Coach Bobby Benson and the Friars will open the season against Holy Cross.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's lacrosse Head Coach Bobby Benson announced his program's regular-season schedule today [Jan. 4]. The Friars have a 14-game regular-season slate comprised of nine non-conference games before opening conference play on Apr. 1.
The Friars open the 2023 campaign by welcoming Holy Cross to Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 4, before traveling to Smithfield, R.I. to take on Ocean State foe, Bryant University on Feb. 11. Providence will then return to Anderson Stadium to host Siena on Feb. 18.
Providence will be on the road for two-consecutive games with a cross-city trip to Brown University on Feb. 21, before traveling to Philadelphia, Pa. to face Saint Joseph's University on Feb. 25.
The Friars return to Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium for a two-game homestand against Fairfield University (Mar. 4) and Stony Brook University (Mar. 11).
Providence begins another two-game road stretch on Mar. 18 with a trip to the USA Lacrosse facility in Sparks, Md. to face Hobart College. The Friars finish the road trip at North Carolina on Mar. 25, marking the end of non-conference play.
Providence kicks off conference play on Apr. 1 as it hosts Marquette in its BIG EAST home-opener. The Friars will then travel to Washington, D.C. for a match-up against Georgetown on Apr. 8. The Friars return to Anderson Stadium to welcome Villanova on Apr. 15.
The Friars hit the road for the final time during the regular-season conference schedule to face BIG EAST foe Denver on Apr.21 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
Providence will host St. John's in the 2023 regular-season finale on Saturday, Apr. 29 at Anderson Stadium.
Marquette will host the 2023 BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Championships, presented by JEEP. Semifinals will take place on May 4 with the championship game being played on May 6 in Milwaukee.
