Men's Hockey Raises Over $150,000 at Sixth Annual Vision Cup Golf Outing

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's hockey program held its Sixth Annual Vision Cup Golf Outing at the iconic Old Sandwich Golf Club in Plymouth, Mass. on Monday (Sept. 12).
The event garnered support from alumni, parents and fans with more than $150,000 raised to support the men's hockey program.
"The Vision Cup is the flagship fundraiser for our program and something that I look forward to every year," Head Coach Nate Leaman said. "Spending a day with the Friar hockey family and having the chance to thank them for their incredible support is very important to me. Their generosity directly impacts the experience of our student-athletes and positions us to compete for another national championship."
"The PC Men's Hockey Vision Cup is one of my favorite days of the year," Providence College Athletic Director Steve Napolillo said. "This year's outing was our most successful to date and that is a testament to the strength of the Friar hockey family. Seeing everyone at Old Sandwich showcased the commitment to Friar hockey and their generosity ensures that the program is a source of pride for our alumni and fans. We will always support this program at the highest level in order to compete for Hockey East and national championships. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Schneider Arena this year."
The Friars begin the 2022-23 season with a pair of exhibition games before hosting Sacred Heart for their season-opener on Friday, Oct. 7 at Schneider Arena. Tickets are available by clicking here.
