PROVIDENCE, R.I.-Â The Providence College volleyball team fell on Friday, August 27 to the West Point Black Knights in four sets. Army took the first set, 25-19, and the Friars took set two, 25-23, before the Black Knights won the final two (25-22, 25-19). Providence moves to 1-1 overall.

FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â West Point claimed the first set, 25-19.

Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas) paced the Friar offense with four kills.

Allison Barber (Woodbury, Minn.) recorded eight assists.

SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â Providence fought back from the first and took the second set, 25-23.

Barber held a team-high in assists (11) and kills (four).Â

THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS: The Black Knights took the third set, 25-22.

Rhoden led the Friars with five kills.

Barber tallied eight assists.

FOURTH SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â The Black Knights went on to win the fourth set, 25-19.

Rhoden registered a team-high four kills while Barber held the team-high in assists (10).

Barber tallied 37 assists and nine digs.

Mackenzie Taylor (Holbrook, N.Y.) had a team-high 16 digs.

Rhoden led the Friar offense with 15 kills, followed by
Emma Nelson (West Chester, Pa.) who put up seven kills.Â
