INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Providence College women's soccer team fell to Butler, 1-0, in overtime on Thursday, Oct. 14 in Indianapolis, Ind. The two teams entered the match tied for third in the BIG EAST standings.

-The Friars had two early scoring opportunities in the first five miniutes from fifth-year

Emma Bodmer (Monroe Township, N.J.) made three saves in the first half.
-Providence and Butler each took four and five shots respectively, in the first half.
-At the end of regulation, the game was tied at 0-0.
-The Friars and Bulldogs were tied with 10 shots a piece.
-Bodmer made two saves in the second half, for a total of five on the day.
-In the 96
th minute, Butler's Alana Wood took the first shot in overtime and scored the golden goal.
-The Friars will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 17 against St. John's at 1 p.m. in Queens, N.Y.
