Men's Hockey Announces 2019-20 Roster and 13-Member Incoming Class

PROVIDENCE, R.I.The Providence College men's hockey program unveiled its roster for the 2019-20 season and announced its 13-member incoming class on Wednesday (July 31).
 
The incoming group consists of 12 freshmen and one graduate transfer and is comprised of three defensemen, eight forwards and two goaltenders. Three of the incoming student-athletes were selected in either the 2018 or 2019 NHL Drafts.
 
#24 – Max Crozier
D • 6-2 • 190 • Calgary, Alberta • Sioux Falls (USHL) • TB (2019 4th Round, #120)
 
Selected in the Fourth Round (120th overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2019 NHL Draft ... ranked 85th among North American skaters in the NHL Central Scouting's final rankings after posting 10 goals and 33 assists in 60 games with Sioux Falls (USHL) in 2018-19 ... led Sioux Falls to a Clark Cup Championship and finished tied for the team lead in playoff scoring with 11 points ... named to the All-USHL Third Team ... registered 29 points in 43 games with the Nanaimo Clippers (BCHL) in 2017-18.
 
#28 – Garrett Devine

Last played in 2017-18 with the South Shore Kings (NCDC) where totaled 12 goals and 16 assists in 46 games ... appeared in 32 games and registered five goals and 10 assists at Cushing Academy (MA) in 2016-17 ... recorded 43 goals and 42 assists over three seasons at the Resurrection Christian School (CO) from 2013-16.
 
#18 – Jamie Engelbert
F • 6-4 • 200 • Cobourg, Ontario • Cobourg (OJHL)
 
Played the previous two seasons with the Cobourg Cougars of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) where he totaled 34 goals and 35 assists in 97 career games ... tallied 20 goals and 24 assists in 47 games with the Cougars in 2018-19 ... registered two goals and two assists for Canada East at the 2018 World Junior A Challenge ... was named the team's Top Defensive Player.
 
#20 – Parker Ford

Alternate captain for the Sioux City Musketeers (USHL) in 2018-19 where he recorded 19 goals and 24 assists in 56 games ... also totaled eight goals and 14 assists with the Musketeers in 2017-18 ... won gold with Team USA and tallied two goals and two assists at the 2018 World Junior A Challenge ... ranked 210th in the final NHL Central Scouting rankings ... participated at the World Junior Summer Showcase in July 2019.

Totaled eight goals and 11 assists in 54 games split between Omaha and Cedar Rapids in the USHL in 2018-19 ... registered five goals and nine assists in 34 games with Cedar Rapids, including three goals and an assist in six playoff games ... played three seasons at Noble and Greenough School (MA) where he accumulated 69 points in 72 career games.
 
#2 – Luke Johnson

Captain for the 2018-19 Sioux City Musketeers (USHL) ... registered three goals and 23 assists in 38 games played in 2018-19 ... appeared in the 2019 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game ... also played with Sioux City for 56 games in 2017-18, totaling a goal and seven assists ... won a gold medal for Team USA at the 2018 World Junior A Challenge where he notched a goal and three assists in four games.

Drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 7th round (197th overall) in the 2018 NHL Draft ... ranked 21st among North American goaltenders in the NHL Central Scouting rankings leading into the 2018 NHL Draft ... played in the 2017 CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game and the 2018 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game ... won a silver medal for the U.S. at the 2017 World Junior A Challenge where he posted a 1.58 GAA and .934 save percentage over three games ... appeared in nine games in 2018-19, eight with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL ... also appeared in 26 games with the Des Moines Buccaneers (USHL) in 2017-18.
 
#31 – Michael Lackey

Recorded a 2.61 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage in 42 games played at Harvard University from 2015-19 … started a career high 26 games in 2018-19 with a 14-8-3 record, a 2.34 GAA and .918 save percentage to help guide the Crimson to an NCAA Tournament appearance … made a career high 46 saves at Quinnipiac on Jan. 12, 2019 … participated at Buffalo Sabres Development Camp in July 2019 … missed entire 2016-17 season due to injury.
 
#6 – Cam McDonald

Appeared in 56 games with the Muskegon Lumberjacks in 2018-19, posting three goals and 12 assists … also added a goal and two assists in eight playoff games … played the 2017-18 season with the Kenai River Brown Bears of the NAHL he amassed 39 points on two goals and 37 assists … participated in USA Hockey Select Development Camps in three consecutive seasons from 2016-18.

Drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 6th round (158th overall) in the 2019 NHL Draft ... finished ranked 73rd among North American skaters in the NHL Central Scouting rankings ... skated in 64 games with the U.S. National Team Development Program in 2018-19, totaling 19 goals and 27 assists ... added three assists for the U.S and won a bronze medal at the U18 World Junior Championships ... posted 16 goals and 16 assists in 61 games for the U17 NTDP in 2017-18 ... won a gold medal at the 2017 U17 World Hockey Challenge, adding two goals and an assist in six games ... played two seasons with Noble & Greenough School (MA) from 2015-17, amassing 24 goals and 26 assists in 55 career games.

Appeared in 55 games with the Lincoln Stars (USHL) in 2018-19, totaling 13 goals and nine assists ... split time in the USHL 2017-18 between Tri-City and Central Illinois, accounting for one goal and three assists ... played four seasons at Shattuck St. Mary's (MN) where he accumulated a total of 208 points (82-126-208) in 229 career games.
