2019 Volleyball Commit Earns Academic All-America Honors

Brielle Mullally was named to the 2018 PrepVolleyball.com High School Volleyball All-American First Team on May 18, 2019.

On May 18, January commit Brielle Mullally (Garden Grove, Calif.) was named to the 2018 PrepVolleyball.com High School Volleyball Academic All-American list. PrepVolleyball.com's 2018 Academic All-Americans are presented in four teams of eight, with the addition of a "Highest Honorable Mention" category which total 46 players. Each team consists of five or six attackers, one or two setters, and one-to-three defensive players. Nominees are chosen based on the talents they possess in the classroom as well as on the volleyball court. 
 
Mullally was a part of the nationally-ranked Monarchs volleyball team who won the CIF Southern Section, CIF State Championship and was named the MaxPreps National Champions. Mullally was named to the Durango All-Tournament Team where Mater Dei finished in third place. The Monarchs team was also the runner-up at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Arizona. Mullally contributed 653 assists, 322 digs, 251 kills, 59 blocks, and 37 aces and was named the Mater Dei Team MVP and on the PrepVolleyball.com Highest Honorable Mention High School All-American list. In addition, Mullally holds a 4.64 GPA and scored a 33 on her ACT. She is a four-year member of both the National Honors Society and the California Scholarship Federation and was recently accepted into the prestigious Providence College Honors Liberal Arts program where only 130 students are accepted each year.
