On Thursday, Nov. 21 the National Grid Foundation and Providence College Athletics kicked off its Hoops for the Stars Program at Nathan Bishop Middle School in Providence. Students were treated to an interactive presentation from Associate Athletic Director,
Kevin Connolly, Associate Director of Player Development,
Bob Walsh and Graduate Student-Athletes
Emmitt Holt and
Luwane Pipkins.
The Hoops for the Stars Program provides elementary and middle school students in Providence with the opportunity attend Friar men's and women's basketball games. Tickets are distributed through the schools and awarded to students who excel in the classroom and in their community.
In its 12th-consecutive year, the National Grid Foundation Hoops for the Stars Program has provided more than 65,000 tickets to Providence students.
