SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Providence College women's soccer team fell to the Seton Hall Pirates, 4-1, on Thursday, Oct. 31 on Owen T. Carroll Field in South Orange, N.J. The Pirates Scored two first-half goals on corner kick attempts and never looked back to prevail with the victory. Providence ends the regular season with an 8-8-2 overall record and 3-5-1 record in BIG EAST play.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
- Providence nearly took the lead in the 12th minute of play.
Hannah McNulty (Warwick, R.I.) played the ball wide to
Alessandra Arace (Pittsfield, Mass.), who then crossed a low ball to
Theresa Durkee near the penalty area, but she put the ball wide right.
-The Pirates scored their first goal of the match in the 21st minute. Siobhan McGovern sat herself in front of
Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.) before redirecting the ball behind Hogan.
- Marissa Aniolowski scored the second goal for the Pirates just 15 minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Aniolowski headed a ball into the near post past a diving Hogan off a corner kick.
- Providence led in shots, 9-3, after the opening 45 minutes.
- Seton Hall gained an insurance goal in the 70th minute to take a 3-0 lead. Kulenguski rebounded a shot from outside the 18-yard box to the far post past Hogan.
- Providence attempted a late comeback, scoring in the 84th minute. McNulty scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season with
Elayna Grillakis (Lowell, Mass.) notching her second assist of the season.
- Danielle Camilleri countered in the 88th minute with the final goal of the match, sealing the Pirates' 4-1 victory.

The Friars will await their fate in the BIG EAST Tournament pending tomorrow's result between Marquette at DePaul. Providence will qualify for the BIG EAST Tournament as the No. 6 seed with a DePaul win, a Marquette draw or win will knock the Friars out of contention.
