nd minute of the first half.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
- Villanova took an early lead in the 22
nd minute of play on Brice McInroy's eighth goal of the season. Chloe O'Neill played a through ball behind the back line on the edge of the 18-yard box, McInroy played the ball under Hogan for the lone goal of the match.
-Providence trailed 6-4 in shots after the opening 45 minutes.

Hannah McNulty (Warwick, R.I.) nearly tied the game at one goal apiece twice in the second half. Her first opportunity came in the 56
th minute. She headed a lofted ball in the box off the right woodwork.
- McNulty found the back of the net on a set piece in the 60
th minute but she was deemed offsides.
Angie Suaza (Nashua, N.H.) played the free kick from the corner of the 18-yard box before McNulty headed it in.
- The Friars outshot the Wildcats, 10-0, in the second half and 14-6 in the game.

Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.) made one save in the contest compared to Rebecca Gartner's four.
- Providence is now 8-7-2 on the season with a 3-4-1 BIG EAST record.
