Coach Lopes stated after the game, "Always a tough game vs Brown and tonight was no different. Brown is under a new era and it will be very exciting going forward to play them annually. Kia is going to do a great job and I wish her all the best. Tonight we played well in many aspects and was pleased with the play in both boxes. As a coach, you always want to be better but we did enough in both boxes to earn a difficult result which I felt was important for the game."
The Friars will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 4:30 p.m. in Providence, R.I. at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium to face Harvard University.
