Indoor Track Prepared for Columbia

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -
The Providence College men's and women's track teams will send six athletes to the Columbia Final Chance Qualifier in New York, N.Y. on March 1-2.
On the women's side, junior Laura Nagel (Napier, New Zealand) will compete in the 5,000-meters on Friday evening. Nagel is currently ranked 22nd on the USTFCCA rankings with a time of 16:07.56 from the BU Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. Junior Jackie McCarthy (New Rochelle, N.Y.) also will be travelling to Columbia to compete in the 800-meter run.
From the men's squad, freshmen Harvey Dixon (Aldershot, England) and Julian Oakley (Tauranga, New Zealand) will compete in the mile. Classmate Joseph Vercollone (Pembroke, Mass.) will compete in the 800-meters, and sophomore Liam Hillery (Smithfield, R.I.) will compete in the 3,000-meters.
