Providence College Men's Hockey Hosts Summer Golf Outing

PROVIDENCE, R.I. --The Providence College men's hockey team hosted its annual summer golf outing on Friday, August 17 at Pawtucket Country Club. Over 135 guests attended the event that helped raise over $35,000 for the men's hockey program. The money, raised through auction items and donations, will go towards team travel and meals for this season.
Providence College President Fr. Brian J. Shanely, O.P. attended the event and announced the renovation project that lies ahead for Schneider Arena. The new design process includes new suites, bathrooms and concession stands as well as new video and locker rooms for both the men's and women's hockey teams to use.
The men's hockey team opens its season on Friday, October 12 against Sacred Heart at 7:00 pm in Schneider Arena.
